At the crossroads of artistic practice, research and pedagogy, Sébastien Schmitz is interested in the power of sound writing and the aesthetics of its materials, in its sensitive, narrative, intimate, cognitive and musical dimensions. He combines his artistic (Le Collectif Wow!) and educational practices (Ihecs - ULB) around workshops in the form of laboratories to explore the didactic and imaginative power that sound can develop in different media of expression (radio, theater, cinema, dance). He is currently finishing his creative research thesis on the theme of radio-theatre.
